Magic Pumpkins are Obvara fired using a medieval process that is environmentally friendly and creates magical patterns. In ancient times the village people of the Baltic Region believed anything that was Obvara fired had magical powers. Dishes fired using the "Magic Obvara Brew" always provided enough food. I love these dry food safe pumpkins! Made with raku clay, colored with stains and underglaze to give them some pumpkin colors, bisque fired and then fired again using the magic Obvara brew to create one of a kind patterns with the Baltic regions medieval influence. Use them during the fall or year round to cast their magic on your home. Care Instructions-No dishwasher. Treat them like fine china. Dry food safe-because the work is porous, I would not use gravy, sauces, or dips in the vessels. Yes to breads, pretzels, any dry foods!
